Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

Possessly is a local-first Android and iOS app for organizing home and personal asset records. The Android app uses package identifier com.homeproof.app, and the iOS app uses bundle identifier app.possessly.mobile. The Android app is available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy describes how Possessly handles information in the current Android and iOS versions.

Summary

Local-first storage

Asset records, warranty details, reminders, notes, attachment metadata, and user-selected photos are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a backend that stores your Possessly app records on our servers.

Data on your device

Depending on how you use Possessly, local storage may include:

Your control of data

Your app data stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back it up. Exported files and backup files may contain personal asset details, warranty information, reminders, notes, and attachment data. Keep these files private and store them safely.

Backup and restore

Possessly can create a local backup file for your records. You can use your device's system sharing or file-saving interface to keep a copy outside the app. When restoring, you choose a backup file through the device's system file picker. Possessly reads the selected file locally and asks for confirmation before replacing the current local app data. A restore is a replacement of the local Possessly data, not a merge.

Export, share, and file selection

You may export PDF, CSV, or JSON files and share or save them using your device's system share sheet or file interface. When you choose another app or service as a destination, the file leaves Possessly under your control and is handled by the destination you selected. Possessly does not upload those files to our servers.

When you choose a file for restore, the system file picker lets you select the file. Selecting or opening a file through the device interface does not by itself upload that file to Possessly or to us.

Photos and attachments

Photo or media access is used only when you choose to attach an image to an asset record. Selected attachment images are stored locally in the app's private storage. Possessly does not upload those attachments to a Possessly cloud service in the current version.

Reminders

Warranty and maintenance reminders are stored locally in the app. The current release does not schedule push or system notifications; reminders are shown inside Possessly.

Data collection and tracking

The current Android and iOS apps do not send your asset records, warranty data, reminders, notes, attachments, or exported files to us for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling, or cloud synchronization. The app does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

Third-party apps and services you choose

If you choose to share or save an export or backup using a third-party app or service, such as a file-storage, email, messaging, or cloud-drive provider, that provider may process the file according to its own privacy policy. This occurs only after you choose that destination through the device's system interface.

Data loss

Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may delete local records unless you saved a backup or export outside the app. There is no Possessly cloud account recovery in the current version.

Website

This static website (possessly.app) does not use analytics, tracking cookies, contact forms, or server-side collection. Standard web server or CDN logs may be handled by the hosting provider according to its policies.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, supported platforms, or website changes. The last-updated date above will be revised when changes are posted.
