Effective date: TBD before public launch
Possessly (developed under the HomeProof project name during pre-launch development) is a local-first mobile organization app. This draft describes how the app handles information at the current pre-launch stage.
Local-first model
At the current stage, Possessly stores data locally on your device. There is no account system, no cloud sync, and no backend operated by us for app data.
Data stored locally on your device
Depending on how you use the app, local storage may include:
- Asset records
- Warranty dates and related fields
- Reminders
- Notes
- Attachment metadata
- User-selected images
- Export files you generate
What we do not operate today
- No account system currently
- No cloud sync currently
- No backend for your app records currently
- No direct collection of payment card data by the app
Future app store billing
If paid features are offered in the future, purchases may be processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Payment details would be handled by the store, not collected directly by the app.
Export and share
You may export or share files using your device’s share sheet. When you choose to share, files leave the app under your control and may be received by apps or services you select.
Permissions
- Media and images: Access is used only when you choose to add receipt or photo attachments.
- Notifications: May be used for reminder functionality if you enable reminders and your platform allows notifications.
