Possessly is a local-first Android app for organizing home and personal asset records. It is available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy describes how the app handles information in the current production version.

Summary

• No account is required.
• No ads are included in the app.
• No analytics or tracking SDK is used in the app.
• No cloud sync is used in the current version.

Local-first storage

Asset records, warranty details, reminders, notes, attachment metadata, and user-selected photos are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a backend that stores your app records on our servers.

Data on your device

Depending on how you use Possessly, local storage may include:

• Asset records and categories
• Warranty dates and related fields
• Reminders
• Notes and attachment metadata
• User-selected images you attach to records
• Export files you generate (PDF, CSV, JSON)
• Backup files you create (`.possessly-backup.json`)

Your control of data

Your data stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back it up. Exported files and backup files may contain personal asset details, warranty information, reminders, and photos. Keep these files private and store them safely.

Export and share

You may export or share files using your device’s share sheet. When you share, files leave the app under your control and may be received by apps or services you select. We do not receive those files unless you send them to us directly (for example, by email for support).

Device permissions

• Media and images: Used only when you choose to add photo attachments.
• Notifications: May be used for reminders if you enable them and your device allows notifications.

Data loss

Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may delete local records unless you saved a backup or export outside the app. There is no cloud account recovery in the current version.

Website

This static website (possessly.app) does not use analytics, tracking cookies, contact forms, or server-side collection. Standard web server or CDN logs may be handled by the hosting provider according to their policies.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or site changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when updates are posted.
